Terminal WiFI / GSM SIM User Guide – wallee

Basic functions of the keys of the PAX D200 terminal:

F1 navigate downwards
F2 navigate upwards
< scroll back
O green circle = confirm or OK

X cancel
Numbers:1-9-0 are used for numbers or letters

Menu opening: with O (or with < if the device is not activated)

Important: The device is already set to GSM and delivered ready for use. However, a WiFi connection is recommended when first starting to use the device:

--- WiFi Connection ---

WiFi: How do I connect to WiFi and make sure the signal is strong enough?

Please follow the steps below:

Menu
Device Settings
Enter Password 2005 (confirm with green circle)
Select Connection Config. (navigate downwards with F1 and upwards with F2, confirm with green circle)
Select Connection Settings (confirm with green circle)
Select WiFi Settings (confirm with green circle)
Select Scan nearby APN (confirm with green circle)
Chose your Wifi connection (keep the password of your WiFi ready) and enter your password (see description above and use:1-9-0, confirm with green circle)
Scroll back with < until Connection settings and Connection appear on the menu (select Connection, confirm with green circle)
Select Manual (confirm with green circle)
Select WiFi (confirm with green circle)

Please note your router signal strength: You can see this on your terminal display next to the clock display on the left.

--- GSM connection ---

SIM: How do I connect to GSM (via SIM card) and make sure the signal is strong enough?

Please follow the steps below:

Menu
Device Settings
Enter password 2005 (confirm with green circle)
Select Connection Config. (navigate downwards with F1 and upwards with F2, confirm with green circle)
Select Connection Settings (confirm with green circle)
Select GSM Settings and confirm with green circle (OK)
Select APN and confirm with green circle (OK)
select *wm and confirm with green circle (OK)
Scroll back with < until the menu shows Connection settings and Connection (select Connection, confirm with green circle)
Select Manual (confirm with green circle)
Select GSM Auto: confirm with green circle (OK) --- The screen will display Please wait for few seconds and then it will return to the main screen
The GSM connection is active now

--- Changeover from automatic to manual connection or vice versa ---

How do I switch from Auto to Manual and in which cases should/must a dealer do that?
The manual connection is only necessary when the device struggles with the signal and no longer recognizes which signal is best, in this case WiFi or GSM.
Then our recommendation is to select Manual; This way you can determine yourself which signal has better reception, WiFi Or GSM.

Procedure:

Device Settings
Enter password 2005 (confirm with green circle)
Select Connection Config. (navigate downwards with F1 or upwards with F2, confirm with green circle)
Select Connection Settings (confirm with green circle)
Select Connections (confirm with green circle )
Select Manual (confirm with green circle)
or vice versa: select Auto (confirm with green circle)

Important: The function selection AUTO only works if both connection options are set, otherwise the selection is useless.

--- Connection Test ---

Procedure:

Menu
Select Connection Test (confirm with green circle)

There are two points to note during the connection test:
- Connection test for GSM and Wifi
- Connection test with server

Important: If you have already entered the activation code, the device will show Connection OK on the display.
