When you are ready to go live with your Shopify online shop and want to start accepting live payments, there are two things to remember.
1. Processors and Connectors in wallee
2. Payment Gateways in Shopify
Processors and Connectors in wallee:
In your wallee space, navigate to your Payment>Configuration>Processors. Click on the processor you would like to switch to Live. This is usually emphasised through a green button with the word Live on it. Depending on the type of payment processor, you would need to configure the live credentials in order to fully activate it. These credentials are usually sent to you by the processor, the acquiring bank, or can be found in your portal from that acquiring bank. In some cases, such as with Worldline (previously SIX) Acquiring or Concardis Acquiring, the live credentials need to be configured by one of our support members. If you have an account with them, please get in touch with us so we can configure this for you.
Please note, ACTIVE is not the same to LIVE. You can have an active processor still in Test Mode.
Payment Gateways in Shopify:
As a default, the payment gateways that you install and configure in your Shopify backend are set to test mode. This is, as the name suggests, for testing purposes. Once you are ready to go live with your online shop, please untick the test mode of each payment gateway. Leaving this ticked will result in an unsuccessful transaction in wallee, if you have your processors and connectors already set to live. Unticking test mode in Shopify, will allow you to accept live payments from your customers.
