PCI DSS is applicable for all merchants that that want to process, store or transmit credit card data is required to be PCI compliant, according to the PCI Compliance Security Standard Council. This basically means that the standard is applicable for all wallee merchants.
As you can see, going under PCI requirements could lead to a wide range of struggles for merchants – but it is possible to leave almost everything to someone else.
Wallee is a PCI DSS Level 1 compliant service provider. This means that an external company verifies in a yearly audit that we comply with all required security standards. More on our PCI website. Thanks to this we are able to lower the requirement massively on your side.
When does the SAQ A apply?
Card-not-present merchants (e-commerce or mail/telephone-order) that have fully outsourced all cardholder data functions to PCI DSS validated third-party service providers, with no electronic storage, processing, or transmission of any cardholder data on the merchant’s systems or premises.
All wallee customers using the Lightbox, Payment Page or Iframe Authorization methods fall under the SAQ-A category. This means that you as a merchant need to provide a Self Assessment Questionaire where the basic security Features are covered. Attached you find the pre filled version fo the document that you should verify and then fill out based on your situation and provide this to your Acquirer in case he asks for it. All PCI DSS Documents of wallee are visible on the wallee PCI website.
