Step-by-step Guide: preparation
Before proceeding with the steps, it is important to ensure that you have a Portal Terminal ID (TID) that is not already linked to any other Terminal Device. You can easily verify this by checking if the activation code is displayed.
If the activation code is visible, it indicates that the TID is not currently linked to any other Terminal Device. To be absolutely certain, you can press the Blue Refresh button. If the activation code remains displayed after refreshing, it confirms that the TID is not linked.
On the Terminal Device, you will see an "Enter Activation Code" screen, indicating that the device is not currently connected to any TID and is out of order until it is linked.
Once the Terminal ID and Terminal Device are successfully linked, the Portal will display the device model and serial number. Additionally, on the Terminal Device's Information Receipt, the Terminal ID field will now show the linked Terminal ID.
Step-by-step Guide: Linking TID to Device
Ensure that you have a Portal Terminal ID (TID) that is not linked to any other Terminal Device. Verify this by checking if the activation code is displayed.
On the Terminal Device, if you see an "Enter Activation Code" screen, it indicates that the device is not connected to any other TID and is currently out of order, requiring a link to a Terminal ID.
-
Obtain the Terminal ID from the Portal.
-
On the Terminal Device screen, enter the activation code received from the Portal.
-
Following successful linking, you may notice loading screens and device configuration taking place.
-
On the Portal, there might not be a visible indication of the link. To confirm the link, press the Blue Refresh button on the Portal.
-
Finally, compare the information displayed on the Portal (device model and serial number) with the Terminal Device's Information Receipt, where the TID field should now show the linked Terminal ID.

-
Confirm the unlink action by clicking the Red Unlink Button again on the pop-up prompt.
-
A notification will be displayed on the Portal stating "The device and the terminal are being unlinked," and a new activation code will be provided.
-
On the Terminal Device, there may not be an immediate visual indication that the Terminal Device and TID are unlinked. To trigger this, you can either perform a transaction or initiate a configuration change.
